TEACHING FOR TRANSFORMATION — Throughout its history, Calvin Christian’s central focus has been the integration of faith and learning in our educational program. In 2014 we embarked on an initiative to further develop that strength–the implementation of the “Teaching for Transformation” (TfT) curriculum planning model. (…more.)
ATHLETICS — Calvin Christian High School has been blessed with many talented students, and over 80 percent of them are involved in our athletic program. We have a variety of sports to offer, including volleyball, basketball, soccer, track, and flag football. (…more.)
FINE ARTS — God has made us in his image and has given us the ability to be creative in music, art, and drama. Art provides a visual language by which one can give expression to experience, beliefs, and emotions. Students at CCHS are encouraged to see their talents as gifts of God, to be developed and enjoyed as a response of praise to God and in service to those around them. (…more.)
COLLEGE CREDIT OFFERINGS — CCHS students have access to coursework that may provide college credit. Our College in the Schools program through the University of Northwestern-St. Paul and Bethel University provides coursework that is taught at the college level and earns credits at those institutions, and which may be accepted for transfer at other colleges. Other types of advanced or specialized study, including Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO), may be arranged for students who have previously demonstrated responsibility in the learning process or who would clearly benefit from a learning opportunity not available within the CCHS curriculum.
HOMESCHOOL OFFERINGS — Calvin Christian offers a variety of opportunities for students in grade 9-12 to complement their home-learning program. Whether through individual classes and activities or regular part-time enrollment, CCHS will provide homeschooled students with challenging, faith-infused learning that is responsive to their individual talents and interests.
