Welcome! I’m glad you’ve found Calvin Christian High School’s website, and I hope we have the opportunity to get to know you in person. Let me introduce you to CCHS! We like to use three short phrases to sum up what we think makes this place special: Be known. Be challenged. Become.
Be known! You won’t be a face in a crowd at CCHS, and not just because we’re a small school. We work hard at being a learning community where each student is truly known, by both teachers and peers. Being accepted for who they are and valued for their unique gifts is what most of our students say is the best thing about CCHS.
Be challenged! Students at CCHS will be stretched academically, of course. They may also be challenged to discover new talents—nearly 100 percent of our students find a spot on an athletic team, perform in a play, or develop leadership skills in a club or student government. Most important, our students are challenged to learn to think critically and biblically about life’s big questions.
Become! We have a clear sense of purpose at CCHS. We seek to provide students with the necessary skills, knowledge, and understanding they need to become effective servants of Christ…no matter how they are called to serve him. In a close-knit, nurturing community, our students are able to find out just who they are and get a glimpse of just how far they can go.
I’ve been a part of CCHS since it was founded in 2004, first as a teacher, then as principal, and most recently as a parent. In all of those roles I’ve been able to see the power of education where students are known, challenged, and nurtured to become what God intends for them. We’d love to have you visit and learn more about the CCHS difference!
