The Edina campus was the birthplace of Calvin Christian School in 1961. Today we are united with the other campuses of Calvin Christian in our mission to equip students for lives of Christian discipleship. Each day our experienced, caring teachers dedicate themselves to proclaiming the lordship of Jesus Christ over all of life and learning, as they challenge their students to respond to his call to be transforming influences in society.
We offer a K-5 elementary program and a 6-8 middle school program on an attractive, well-equipped campus in a quiet, residential neighborhood. We also host an preschool, operated by Lake Area Discovery Center. Special use facilities include a bright, spacious library, a computer lab, and a gymnasium.
We provide an excellent academic program that is challenging, yet developmentally appropriate. Specialists teach in the areas of Spanish, physical education, music, and art. A wide range of student learning needs are met through instruction in the regular classroom as well as through our learning resource and enrichment-challenge programs. Our staff seeks to continually improve our educational program to meet the needs of the 21st century learner.
I have had the privilege of serving as the principal at the Edina campus since 1989, when I returned to my home state after 10 years as a teacher and administrator at Redlands Christian School in California. I hold a bachelor’s in education from Dordt College in Iowa and a master’s in education administration from the University of Redlands. My wife and I are the parents of three daughters, all graduates of Calvin Christian.
It is an honor to serve with a dedicated and talented team of Christian educators and support staff at the Edina campus of Calvin Christian.
I encourage you to visit our campus and see our program in action.
