Community is important at Calvin Christian School, encompassing students, parents, and our supporting community.
We strive to build a learning community among our students that represents the biblical picture of the body of Christ (Romans 12:3-5). We also know that the most effective learning happens in environments in which students demonstrate respect and concern for one another, value individual differences, and learn to work together toward common goals.
Calvin Christian parents are key partners in their children’s education, as demonstrated by their high attendance at parent-teacher conferences and consistent involvement in their child’s learning experiences. Parents also play vital roles in the Calvin Christian community, from volunteering during the school day, to organizing student and community events, to giving leadership on committees and the school board.
We place a high value on our connections with our supporting community, Along with communication tools, events such as the CCS Challenge, golf tournament, fellowship dinner, and Grandparents Day allow the broader CCS community to be informed about and engaged in the life of Calvin Christian School. We are also blessed by the financial contributions, prayers, and volunteer efforts of former parents, alumni, grandparents, and many others.
